Planet Kids: VPK (Pre-K) Program
Welcome to Planet Kids! Our VPK (Pre-K) program prepares children for kindergarten with engaging lessons and structured learning. Here’s what you can expect from our Pre-K classroom.

At this stage, children develop key academic and social skills. Our program focuses on early literacy, math, problem-solving, and independence—within a warm, encouraging environment that builds confidence and a love for learning.

Our Curriculum
We use the research-based Frog Street Pre-K curriculum to support early learning across domains:
- Language & Literacy: Vocabulary, early reading, and writing.
- Math & Science: Numbers, patterns, measurement, and discovery.
- Social & Emotional Growth: Teamwork, self-regulation, and problem-solving.
- Creative Exploration: Art, music, dramatic play, and movement.
- Physical Development: Fine and gross motor skills through hands-on activities and outdoor play.
Teachers guide children through fun, purposeful experiences that lay a strong foundation for kindergarten.
A Typical Day
Our daily schedule includes:
- Morning Circle: Songs, calendar, and group discussions.
- Learning Centers: Rotations in literacy, math, science, and creativity.
- Outdoor Play: Active movement and cooperative games.
- Meals & Snacks: Building independence and table manners.
- Rest Time: A quiet, restorative break.
- Enrichment: Art, music, and storytelling.
- Closing Circle: Reflecting on the day and previewing tomorrow.
